Open Positions

CG Animator

Responsibilities:

  • Animate a broad spectrum of subjects as needed, from characters/creatures to motion design to product demos.
  • Handle previs and camera animation for both CG and VFX projects
  • Work on a small team and take the animation from layout through completion, with a large degree of ownership over the animation as a whole.
  • Develop animation styles in projects’ R&D phases to help find a suitable look when required.
  • Work with creative directors to refine performance and address notes.
  • Contribute to pitches and motion tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with TDs to develop pipeline and animation tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of CG animation experience in Maya or equivalent software.
  • Familiarity with a post production environment catering to advertising/commercials.
  • Self-motivated and a drive to push the envelope
  • Enthusiasm to work on a small, tight-knit team and composure to give and accept constructive feedback positively

Preferred Skills:

  • Any generalist capabilities to assist team when not animating.
  • Any rigging ability
  • A basic familiarity with simple MEL/Python scripting to help automation of repetitive animation needs.
  • Experience animating for game engines such as Unity or Unreal.

Maya Generalist/TD

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a broad variety of tasks, but with a focus on scripting, tool development, pipeline management, and general team support.
  • Work on a small team and take initiative in working with the CG Supervisor to improve both studio capabilities and studio efficiency
  • Develop tools as needed for projects that require unconventional approaches.
  • Ideation during R&D phases to help find suitable solutions for each project.
  • Contribute to pitches and tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with animators to develop pipeline and animation tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of TD experience in Maya
  • Experience with Python and/or MEL scripting for Maya
  • Familiarity with a post production environment catering to advertising/commercials.
  • Self-motivated and a drive to push the envelope
  • Enthusiasm to work within a small, tight-knit team and composure to give and accept constructive feedback

Preferred Skills:

  • Character rigging ability
  • Any other generalist capabilities to assist team
  • Experience working in game engines such as Unity or Unreal
  • Experience with interactive VR or 360 video production
  • Experience scripting in Nuke

Junior Lighting and Look Dev Artist

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a broad variety of lighting tasks in Maya with Arnold, and some compositing with Nuke
  • Set up lighting and necessary render layers for projects as needed
  • Assist the primary lighters and compositors as needed
  • Work on a small team and take initiative in working with the CG Supervisor to develop lighting for projects ranging from commercials to short films to 360 VR.
  • Look Development during R&D phases to help find a style for each project.
  • Contribute to pitches and tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with TDs to create, test, and implement lighting pipeline management tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong aesthetic ability, and willingness to execute a range of looks from photo-real to stylized/unconventional
  • Self motivated and driven to work both alone and under the supervision of the senior lighters
  • Experience with lighting in Maya
  • Enthusiasm to work within a small, tight-knit team and composure to give and accept constructive feedback

VR/AR Technical Artist/Creative Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Creative Directors to conceptualize VR and AR interfaces and experiences
  • Create 2D and 3D content including textures, models, lighting/lightmaps, particles and shaders
  • Prototype new techniques to interact within VR and AR experiences
  • Ensure VR applications hit their performance targets and never drop a frame

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working within Unity or Unreal game engines to create VR experiences for Oculus or Vive platforms
  • Self motivated and driven to work both alone and under the supervision of the CD
  • Experience creating real-time particle and visual effects sequences
  • Clear understanding of 3D animation, rigging and linking multiple animation sequences
  • Experience with shader creation, both using a visual shader graph or writing straight code
  • Expert knowledge of Maya along with Mel and Python scripting experience
  • Enthusiasm to work within a small, tight-knit team and composure to give and accept constructive feedback

Preferred Skills:

  • Advance real-time lighting experience
  • Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, C++, C#, etc.
  • Mobile and WebVR experience a nice to have
