Continuing a longstanding tradition of promoting from within, Nice Shoes recently elevated a trio of long-time assistants to full VFX artists. Andrew Granelli, Vin Roma and Bryan Rosenblum, who have each spent their entire careers in the Nice Shoes family, will bring intimate knowledge of the industry at large and the inner workings of the company to their new positions. “By elevating Andrew, Vin and Bryan to full-fledged VFX artists, we are considerably bolstering our effects operations,” noted Nice Shoes CEO Dominic Pandolfino. “Plus these promotions highlight a number of our core operating values here at Nice Shoes. We believe in seeking out the best talent from the dub room on up, and supporting their careers by providing every opportunity to advance once they’ve proven themselves. These three represent the best young talent working anywhere in the industry and we are pleased to continue this tradition of promoting from within our ranks.” Granelli has spent his entire career in the Nice Shoes family, starting at the parent company, then moving to sister company Guava and rejoining his original crew when the two entities merged. Rosenblum and Roma have also spent their entire careers at Nice Shoes, working their way up from lower level positions. Andrew Granelli has a host of top-flight clients that he counts as regulars, including Goodyear, Ameritrade, Ford, Sudafed, Aquafresh and Quiznos. Vin Roma’s client list includes Stella Artois, Motorola, Major League Baseball, Crest, Vera Wang, Lancome, IBM, Comcast, Pizza Hut, Tide and Mercedes. In a display of his versatility, Roma also contributed to the critically acclaimed documentary Garbage Dreams. He has worked with a who’s who list of top agencies, including Mother, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis, Laird+Partners, Baron & Baron, Grey, Digitas, BBDO, JH Artist Group, and Merkely & Partners. Bryan Rosenblum is a VFX pro equally adept working on spots, music videos, or full-length feature films. His prestigious client list includes Ford, Ameritrade, Chase, Calvin Klein, Friskies, Ikea and the Tribeca Film Festival. He has teamed with major agencies from Ogilvy to Screenvision. On the long-format side, Rosenblum counts work on the surprise hit Garbage Dreams and Outlaws. Two videos for Thievery Corporation top his list of collaborations in the music world. Rosenblum has spent his entire career at Nice Shoes, working his way up from the shipping room to become a world-class VFX artist.
