Marcos Castiel entered the filmmaking world with an eye towards directing, but quickly discovered the storytelling power of editing and made the switch. He began his career on the agency side before moving to production, spending a decade at top post houses. He’s earning industry acclaim including a Cannes Lions shortlist for his work with Visa and a Cannes Lions and LIA shortlist for Editorial for a 2017 project with Amnesty International. Member of the Guild of British Film Editors, he has lent his editorial voice to Netflix’s “Turn of the Tide”, as well as “Restos do Vento”, Cannes Film Festival 2022 official selection.
