Creative Directors ask other creatives. Producers call friends. Clients check in with people they’ve worked with before. That’s how most new relationships begin—and we want to say thank you when that recommendation leads to new work.
Creative Connections is our way of rewarding you for thinking of Nice Shoes when someone in your circle is looking for creative support. If your recommendation leads to a new client—one we weren’t already working with—we’ll pay you a commission.
Here’s How It Works:
- Earn 5% Commission on every completed project you refer to us.
- Unlimited Referrals – introduce us to as many contacts and companies as you’d like
- One-Year Eligibility – get paid for any qualifying project booked within 12 months of your introduction. We want to celebrate real introductions that open doors. It’s that simple.

What is the Nice Shoes Creative Connections Program?
Creative Connections is designed for people outside the hiring process—those who aren’t making vendor decisions themselves.
If you’re currently employed by or freelancing for a company, and have any say in which vendors they hire, you are not eligible to receive a referral reward for that company.
This helps ensure that the program remains transparent, fair, and aligned with the trust placed in those managing creative partnerships.
Who should I refer?
Marketing and creative professionals such as CMOs, Creative Directors, Brand Leaders, and Producers looking for high-quality video production.
Who can participate?
Industry professionals, freelancers, past clients, and anyone with a strong network in creative production or media.
How to Refer someone you know to Nice Shoes
Before making a referral, reach out to your contact at Nice Shoes to confirm we’re not already working with the person you’d like to refer. Once confirmed, simply send a brief introduction email to your referral and copy your Nice Shoes contact so we can follow up seamlessly and explore how we can support their creative projects
What qualifies as a successful Creative Conection?
A successful Creative Connection is one where a new client, as a result of your introduction, signs a project completes the project within 180 days of your referral.
How and when will I receive my reward?
You’ll receive your reward within 30 days after the client completes and pays for the project. A W-9 form will be required.
Can I refer multiple contacts within the same company?
Yes, absolutely! You can refer as many contacts as you like within the same company. The reward applies to every project that comes as a result of your referrals, regardless of whether it’s with different contacts or multiple projects from the same contact.
Is there a limit to referrals?
No, you can refer as many clients as you’d like. Each successful referral earns you a 5% commission, capped at one year from the completion of the first project.
What happens if multiple people refer the same client?
The reward will be granted to the first person whose verifiable introduction results in a project within 180 days. If no project is secured within that timeframe, and another person refers the same client, the reward will go to the person whose introduction ultimately leads to a successful project.
How do you track referrals?
We log each referral in our CRM and track the status throughout the process. Referrals from the website form are automatically integrated into our CRM for tracking.
What if I refer someone who previously worked with Nice Shoes?
To qualify, the referred client must not have completed projects with Nice Shoes in the past 12 months.
What if the referred client cancels or doesn’t complete the project?
Referral rewards are only issued for projects that are completed and paid for. If a project is canceled or unpaid, no reward will be given.
Are there any tax implications for receiving the reward?
Yes, referral rewards are taxable income. A W-9 form is required, and you’ll receive a 1099-MISC for rewards totaling $600 or more in a calendar year.
Can I participate if I’m not based in the United States?
Currently, the program is open only to U.S. residents. We hope to expand internationally in the future.
Do I need to sign an agreement to participate?
By participating, you agree to the program’s Terms & Conditions available here.
Are there geographic restrictions for referred clients?
We welcome referrals from clients anywhere as long as we can meet their project needs.
What happens if I opt out of the program after making referrals?
Any pending rewards for qualified referrals made before opting out will still be honored according to program terms.
Are there any materials to help me refer clients?
Yes, we can provide reels, capabilities decks, and sample email templates upon request.
How will I know the status of my referral?
We’ll keep you informed at key stages of the process, including when your referral has been received, when we make contact with the client, and when the project is completed and paid for.
What if I have a potential referral but I’m unsure if they qualify?
